Founded in 2020, R&R Writing Services is a Black woman-owned boutique writing studio based out of Washington, DC,  dedicated to helping individuals, professionals, entrepreneurs, and organizations communicate with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

The studio was founded by Raishawn L. Reaves, a strategic communications professional, writer, speechwriter, and marketing consultant with more than 15 years of experience supporting federal agencies, corporate teams, legal organizations, and businesses.

Throughout her career, Raishawn has developed hundreds of communications products including executive speeches, strategic messaging, newsletters, website content, marketing materials, reports, resumes, and other high-impact documents, helping leaders and organizations tell their stories effectively and achieve meaningful results.

Ironically, R&R Writing Services began with a simple favor.

After navigating one of the country's most competitive job markets after graduating college, Raishawn became skilled at crafting resumes that stood out. When a friend asked for help updating her resume, the results were almost immediate, interviews started coming in, followed by a job offer. Soon, friends, colleagues, and referrals began asking for the same support, and what started as helping one person became a passion for helping others achieve their career goals.

As Raishawn's federal consulting career evolved, so did her expertise. Working alongside senior executives, attorneys, and government leaders, she developed communications for high-profile initiatives, executive leadership, and mission-critical programs. Along the way, she realized that writing wasn't just something she did, it had become the foundation of her career.
